About the Rochester Fire Department
The Rochester Fire Department was formed as a result of a merger between the Rochester Volunteer Fire Department and the Rochester Township Volunteer Fire Department on August 4, 2015. The Department proudly protects the residents and merchants of Rochester Borough, East Rochester Borough, & Rochester Township, located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
The Borough of Rochester is .07 square miles with a population slightly over 4,000. The Township of Rochester is a municipality of 3,300 individuals that covers approximately 4 square miles. And the Borough of East Rochester has approximately 540 residents that covers 0.46 square miles.
The Department Operates out of two station, the Northside Station at 632 California Avenue and the Downtown Station at 414 Lacock Street. The Department provides fire suppression, hazardous materials response, rescue services, and fire prevention for the residents, businesses, and visitors of the community.
